We are proud to share that our Chairman & Managing Director, Mr. Samir Somaiya, has been honored with the prestigious Plinio Nastari Sugar Excellence Award by the International Sugar Organization (ISO). Instituted in 2024 to recognize global leadership in sustainable sugar and bioenergy, the award celebrates Mr. Somaiya’s outstanding contributions and marks a historic moment as he becomes the first Indian to receive this recognition.

We are proud to share that Godavari Biorefineries Limited (GBL) has been recognised as the Winner in the “Bioenergy Producer” category at the 5th India Green Energy Awards (IGEA), organised by the Indian Federation of Green Energy (IFGE).

Godavari Biorefineries Limited (GBL) was honoured with the prestigious ICC – K. V. Mariwala Award at the 60th Annual ICC Awards, held on 19th September 2025 in Mumbai.

The recognition was jointly awarded to GBL and the Institute of Chemical Technology (ICT), Mumbai, for their pioneering collaboration in developing a breakthrough single-step catalytic conversion process that transforms CO₂ into Di-Methyl Ether (DME)—a clean fuel and versatile chemical feedstock.

Godavari Biorefineries Limited (GBL) has been honored with the Platinum Award for Best Sugarcane Development for the year 2024–25 by the South Indian Sugarcane & Sugar Technologists’ Association (SISSTA).

Godavari Biorefineries Limited Receives Excellence Award 2025 from SRF

We are proud to share that Godavari Biorefineries Limited (GBL) has been honored with the Excellence Award 2025 – Recognition for Support (BPRD 2025) by SRF.

Godavari Biorefineries Limited has been awarded the “Best Co-generation Power Plant, Rank 1” in the category of Private Sugar Factories by the Cogeneration Association of India.

The award ceremony was held on April 19, 2025, in Pune. Mr. Dinesh (CTO) and Mr. Petimani (AGM – Co-gen) received the award on behalf of the company. The award was presented by Shri Harshawardhan Patil and Mr. Jayprakash Dandegaonkar, Vice President of the Cogeneration Association of India, in the presence of Mr. Sharad Pawar, President of the Association.

Godavari Biorefineries Ltd, Sameerwadi has been awarded the "BEST SAFETY AWARD" for the year 2023-2024 by the Department of Factories, Boilers, Health and Safety - Government of Karnataka (Bengaluru).

The award was presented to Godavari Biorefineries Limited team represented by Mr. Suribabu, DGM (PO) and Mr. Bandekar, Asst Manager (Safety) by Mr. K Shrinivas, Director of Factories.

The award ceremony took place at Gulbarga on 20th July 2024.

Godavari Biorefineries Limited has been honored with the prestigious FICCI Chemical and Petrochemicals Award for "Excellence in Corporate Environmental Responsibility." This recognition highlights the company's commitment to sustainable practices and environmental stewardship in the chemical industry. The award underscores Godavari Biorefineries' leadership in promoting eco-friendly innovations and responsible business operations.

Godavari Biorefineries Limited has been recognised in the category 'Bioenergy - Outstanding Chemical Process Based Project (Ethanol)' at the 4th India Green Awards by the Indian Federation of Green Energy (IFGE).

The award was felicitated by the Shri Nitin Jaikumar Gadkari, Hon’ble Union Minister of Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, Government of India.
