Overview
We make acetaldehyde that is mainly used as an intermediate in the synthesis of other chemicals. It is a versatile chemical that is used in industries like agriculture, plastics, pharmaceutical and food and beverages. It is an important raw material for many of our products such as 1, 3 butylene glycol and Crotonaldehyde.

Applications
Acetaldehyde is used in the agricultural industry to make pesticides and insecticides. Other derivatives of acetaldehyde, such as Metaldehyde are used as molluscicide to attract and kill slugs and snails. It is used in a variety of vegetable and ornamental crops in the field or greenhouse, on fruit trees, small-fruit plants, or in avocado or citrus orchards, berry plants and banana plants. It is applied to the soil around plants.
