Applications
Acetaldehyde is a valuable ingredient in a wide range of food products, where it decides the freshness and juiciness of food & beverages especially in orange juice and other citrus juices. Acetaldehyde is used for making perfect blend of synthetic essences such as raspberry, banana etc. It is an important component of food flavourings and is added to milk products, baked goods, fruit juices, candy, desserts, and soft drinks. Acetaldehyde Solution 40.0% appears as a colourless liquid with a pungent odour. It is also used in fruit essence with apple-like odour.
